How to Download Your Prep File
As part of migrating your firm to the new hosted environment, we’ll need to install Lacerte on your cloud workspace. To complete this installation, we require the Prep File from your Intuit account. Once you’ve downloaded the Prep File, please upload it to the OneDrive link we’ve provided so our team can finalize the setup.

Step 1: Sign In

Go to myproconnect.intuit.com.

Sign in with your Intuit Account credentials.

Step 2: Download the Prep File for Lacerte 2024

Once signed in, you’ll land on the My Account Dashboard.

Under the Lacerte 2024 section, click the link labeled Download prep file.

Step 3: Download the Prep File for Previous Years (if needed)

If you’re installing Lacerte for a prior year, scroll further down on the dashboard.

Locate the section called “Lacerte Previous Years.”

Use the dropdown menu to select the tax year you need (e.g., 2023, 2022).

Click the link labeled Download prep file.​​​​

​​​What Happens Next

The Prep File will download to your computer.

Save it in a location you can easily find, such as your Desktop.

Once downloaded, upload the file to the OneDrive link we’ve provided so our team can complete your setup.
